Kanchipuram silk saree is from the Kanchipuram area of Tamilnadu and considered as the bridal saree for the women of Tamilnadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. This saree is very popular all over India and usually worn on special occasions. These sarees are woven from pure mulberry silk of south India and the zari comes from Gujarat. The border is distinguished by the wide contrast in color and designs compared to the rest of the saree. The pallu is woven usually with a different shade and woven separately and then later it is joined with the rest of the saree.
Well, I have a question…does anyone get envious of Rekha for her collections of Kanchipuram Sarees? Or it’s just me …
